It’s a small thing, in some ways, but one that delights me.
I’ve decided to create flowering borders along the driveway. I’ve wanted to do this for years but my ex used to run over the flowerbeds and the drive’s really tough for Shannon to back out of, too. But he’s no longer here and she’ll learn.
I realized when I decided to do create the borders that I have the only house in my entire neighborhood where there are flowers planted in the front yard. Sure, others are landscaped and sculpted oh-so-formally-and-conservatively, but I’m the only one with color and a bit of wildness on the edges.
Sheesh. That’s rather analogous with how I fit into this neighborhood.
